There are many places known as Clifton for obvious reasons, the town on or by the cliff. Clifton in Bristol is in my view very different. It is home to the Clifton Suspension bridge, it sits atop the Avon Gorge and claims to have more Georgian buildings than Bath! It is often used for filming, you will see it if you know it turning up in Films and TV programmes such as Dr Who. I have given it its own photo gallery separate from the remainder of Bristol. The heart of Clifton is known as Clifton Village, which indicates it has a separate identity to the rest of Bristol.
