After spending a whole day karting with cameras in the car ready to get some good shots, I came home with none. The kart got damaged, which means my photography skills had to go to one side and my mechanic skills come to the forefront. A bent steering column and steering arm had to be replaced, This was done and off the kart went for a very good session. Having watched it and seeing that everything was okay, I was thinking photographs in the next session. Off my daughter goes, gets around one lap and just as I was about to get the camera the kart breaks down at the far side of the circuit. After a long walk to recover the kart and daughter, we find the clutch has gone. Another mechanic session was underway. New clutch fitted and again watching to make sure all was okay I watched my daughter get personal best after personal best times. Problem is, it was the last session of the day. So after a very eventful day karting, we came home with no photos. Fending offMy daughter has a Senior Rotax kart with a Madcroc chassis and practices at Clay Pigeon raceway.
